[Official] Ivan Ilic Is Torino's New Player

Lazio has been interested in Hellas Verona's Ivan Ilic for a long time, but they will likely miss the opportunity to acquire him after Torino finally did so.

The Serbian footballer Ivan Ilić is now a new player of Torino, the club themself announced today.

This 21-year-old soccer player was transferred to Torino on a six-month loan from Verona with the option to purchase the contract, if "certain sporting conditions " are achieved.

During his two-and-a-half-year stint in Verona, he scored five goals and had six assists in 76 appearances.

He participated in 7 matches for the Serbian national team, the last against Brazil at the World Cup in Qatar.

Coach Maurizio Sarri is interested in the 21-year-old's services and reportedly considers him a potential long-term replacement for Luis Alberto who has been linked with a move to the Spanish club even if not this January.
