Arrese: "Diego Is Gifted And Fast On The Left Side Of The Field. He Will Attempt To Gain A Position On The Team."



Iraultza Arrese, the agent for Diego Gonzalez, reviewed the player's transfer to Lazio and the player's intended goal with the team of Maurizio Sarri. The player is not well-known in Serie A football, he was recruited together with Luca Pellegrini in the January transfer market.


The 20-year-old striker from Paraguay, Diego Gonzalez was loaned to The Aquile for six months with a conditional obligation to buy clause embedded in his contract in January of 2016, he was brought in from Mexican club, Celaya.


Diego Gonzalez is a relatively unknown soccer player in Italy, but he has demonstrated talent on multiple occasions, he has scored 4 goals in 14 appearances for Celaya and has made an impressive run in the South American Youth Football Championship.


The player's agent, Iraultza Arrese, first discussed when The Aquile attempted to recruit his client.


"My first encounter with Lazio took place at the South American Under-20 Championship, during which Diego displayed an impressive performance," the agent said.


He described what kind of player his client is and what position he would likely play if he were to be assigned to Maurizio Sarri's team.


"Diego is gifted and fast on the left side of the field, his position is on the left wing or second striker, he is down-to-earth and professional."


Additionally, the agent revealed the short-term target of the 20-year-old with Biancoceleste.


"Diego will join the first team with a humble attitude, he will attempt to gain a position on the team, and he is grateful to the club for realizing his dream at a major club."
