No Progress On Milinkovic's New Contract Talk, Arsenal Is On Standby

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is reportedly considering leaving Lazio to gain new experience and has an interest in signing for Arsenal. So far, the Serbian midfielder has refused to agree to a new contract with the Italian club.

One of Lazio's star midfielders, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, is reportedly ready to experience a new adventure and has an eye on Arsenal as his next destination.

According to the report from Corriere dello Sport, it is revealed that there was a meeting between the president of Biancoceleste, Claudio Lotito, and the agent of the Serbian midfielder, Mateja Kezman, however, there was no progress made in the negotiation of a new contract for Milinkovic-Savic.

Kezman confirmed Milinkovic-Savic's desire to try something new, he also revealed that the star midfielder does not want to leave The Aquile on a free transfer and instead prefers a lucrative sale in the summer to ensure the club has funds to come up with from his sale.

Arsenal is reportedly monitoring his progress. The Aquile are now hoping for a Premier League approach in the coming months.

According to the most recent information, the Italian capital club offered a new contract with a net salary of 5 million Euros, but this was not the case. The club from Rome is now hoping to raise funds in the range of 50 to 60 million Euros from sales, which will undoubtedly be used to bolster Maurizio Sarri's squad.
