[Official] Cataldi Signs New Contract With Lazio Until 2027 And Takes On The Role Of Vice-Captain If Milinkovic-Savic Leaves This Summer

Danilo Cataldi is a leading figure in the Lazio squad, and he intends to remain with the club until 2027.  The Italian midfielder has just agreed a new contract with the Italian club.

Italian midfielder Danilo Cataldi is a member of the Lazio youth system and has always been devoted to the team, having only had brief loan spells early in his career. Since the arrival of Maurizio Sarri, he has become a significant component of The Aquile's midfield, taking on a larger role and developing confidence.

As reported by Il Messaggero, it is reported that the Biancoceleste team considered Cataldi to be a leader on the field and a potential future captain. If Sergej Milinkovic-Savic leaves this summer, the Italian midfielder will take over as the team's vice-captain.

The 28-year-old player signed a new contract with The Aquile worth 1.8 million Euros per season, which also included an option for a one-year extension.  Furthermore, there is a clause that permits him to discuss the possibility of becoming a coach at the Biancoceleste Academy when he retires as a player and that is his dream.

The midfielder has learned everything he can from Maurizio Sarri throughout their time together and is now one of the most important players in the capital side, having found himself struggling just a few years before the Italian coach's arrival.
