[Serie A] Monza - Lazio = 0 - 2

Monza lost 2-0 to Lazio in Week 28 of the Italian League at Stadio Brianteo on Sunday. Pedro Rodriguez had opened the scoring for Lazio in the first half before Milinkovic-Savic grabbed the second goal after the break from a free-kick.

Lazio started the game with a lot of enthusiasm. Despite being located at the Monza home ground, they appeared to be more dominant. It appears that many attacks were committed against Monza at the beginning of the match.

One of the attempts was successful in the 13th minute. Pedro penetrated the Monza goal after his hard shot from the center of the penalty box could not be stopped by the Monza goalkeeper. At halftime, Lazio was 1-0 up.

Entering the second half, Lazio continued to appear solid despite being pressed multiple times.

A foul on Mattia Zaccagni prompted the referee to award a free kick to Lazio in the 56th minute. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic successfully executed the free kick beautifully. He changes the score to 0-2. This was Milinkovic-Savic's fifth goal after he had been without goals for quite a while.

Until the referee blew the long whistle, the score remained 0-2 in favor of Lazio.

This victory solidifies Lazio's position as second with 55 points, four points ahead of AC Milan in third after they are winning 4-0 against Napoli. Meanwhile, Monza is 13th with 34 points from 28 matches, according to the official website of the Italian Serie A.
