[Serie A] Lazio - Sassuolo = 2 - 0

The 33rd Giornata in Serie A brought Lazio vs Sassuolo. The duel took place at the Stadio Olimpico. Lazio managed to win over Sassuolo in this match.  They won convincingly 2-0.

Immobile scored on a tap-in goal in the seven minutes of play against Sassuolo.  However, the referee and Video Assistant Referee (VAR) disallowed his goal because it was considered an offside.

Lazio scored in the 14th minute.  Felipe Anderson received a long pass from Marcos Antonio and turned it into a goal in front of the goal.

Before the half-time break, the home team attempted to increase their lead, but nothing came of it.  The first half ended with a 1-0 advantage for Lazio.

Sassuolo appeared to devote their efforts to reeling in in the second half in an attempt to catch up. However, all of these attempts can be prevented by the Lazio defense.

In actuality, Lazio increased their goals in minutes of injury time. Toma Basic slotted in Mattia Zaccagni's cross inside the penalty area to ensure that the Biancoceleste won 2-0.

Lazio now has 64 points and is still second in the Italian League standings after gaining three points. With 43 points, Sassuolo is in 12th place.
