Lazio Is On The Verge Of Signing D'Ambrosio For Free

Lazio is reportedly close to signing a contract with Danilo D'Ambrosio, who is on a free transfer after leaving Inter.  The player is being monitored by the Italian club in charge of the rotation, this club intends to bring in several additional players to reinforce their squad for the upcoming season.

Maurizio Sarri's team is attempting to add new players to the squad this summer following the qualifying process for the following season's Champions League.

Previously, coach Maurizio Sarri had acknowledged that the Aquile's team was not powerful enough to participate in multiple competitions last season, so the club intended to give him some resources to participate in the Serie A and European competitions.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, it is apparent that the Biancoceleste want to add Ambrosio to their group this summer. They are one step away from having a deal for the free agent.

The 34-year-old defender completed his nine-year spell at San Siro last week, having made 284 appearances in all competitions and helping the Nerazzuri win the Scudetto as well as two Coppa Italias.

He is believed to be a valuable alternative to Alessio Romagnolo, Nicolo Casale, and Patric, which might provide Sarri with more options.  The presence of the defender is expected to help them compete in various competitions for the 2023/24 season.
