Due To Safety Concerns, No Away Supporters Are Permitted To Attend Either Match Between Feyenoord And Lazio

In the capital city, there is news regarding the Champions League group stage. Feyenoord is scheduled to play against Lazio in Rome on November 7. A report from Fr12.nl indicates that the local authorities have made a final decision to prohibit the arrival of Feyenoord fans. The reason behind this ban is linked to the unfortunate events that took place during the 2015 away match against Roma, which resulted in multiple riots and damages, including harm to the Barcaccia fountain.

According to a statement by UEFA, Lazio fans also will not be permitted to travel to Rotterdam. Additionally, the upcoming Champions League group stage game will not have any Biancoceleste supporters present in the stadium. This means that these fans will have to stay in Rome and watch the game from afar.

Last season, Feyenoord went up against Roma in the Europa League. Following Roma's victory over Feyenoord, the Dutch team's supporters caused destruction in the Italian capital. In light of these past incidents, officials in Rome prohibited Feyenoord fans from attending the matches. Consequently, safety measures were implemented for both games.
