[Official] Basic Moves On Loan To Salernitana Until End Of The Season

After completing the necessary medical examinations upon his arrival in Salerno, Toma Basic proceeded to sign a new contract that would bind him to Salernitana on a dry loan basis until the season's conclusion.

The reinforcement of the Salernitana's central midfield is a priority, particularly in light of Bohinen's departure. Basic, who will be training under Inzaghi today, will provide a much-needed boost. Fans can expect him to be available for Sunday's match against Genoa.

Lazio has formally announced the transfer through an official statement posted on their website: 

"The football club S.S. Lazio has recently announced that they have temporarily transferred the sporting rights of Toma Bašić to U.S. Salernitana 1919 until June 30, 2024."

Born in Zagreb on 25 November 1996, Toma Bašić emerged from the Hajduk youth system and made his mark on the European football scene in 2018 when he secured a contract with Bordeaux. Excelling both in terms of quantity and quality, he continued to impress over the next two years, eventually finding himself in Italy with Lazio. Throughout Sarri's first season, Bašić showcased his proficiency in infiltrating the opponent's penalty area, earning valuable playing minutes.
