Navigating The Transfer Market: Tudor's Targets And Lazio's Summer Plans

Talking about the transfer market at this point is futile; the focus should be on on-field performance. Lazio, currently in ninth place, must climb the standings to contend for a European spot before planning for the next season. Some players will inevitably depart from Formello while new signings will arrive. In the latest edition of Il Corriere dello Sport, there's a discussion about players favored by Tudor who could bolster Lazio in the upcoming summer transfer window. These players have thrived under Tudor's guidance and may regain prominence.

One such player is Cholito Simeone, expressing a desire to leave Naples. While heavily linked with Lazio, his age of 29 and the hefty fee Napoli paid for him make the transfer complex. Despite scoring 17 goals under Tudor at Verona, Lazio may need to invest substantially due to the impending departure of Immobile.

Other targets are from abroad, like Rongier from Marseille, versatile in midfield alongside Guendouzi and in defense in a 3-4-2-1 formation. He's been a key player under Tudor with a contract until 2026. Additionally, there's interest in Leonardo Balerdi, Jonathan Clauss (assisted by You First, akin to Luis Alberto), and Nuno Tavares, who all excelled under Tudor. Tavares, previously linked with Lazio in 2021 before joining Arsenal, could be available as the Gunners look to sell him with a contract expiring in 2025.
