[Official] Avellino Secure Lazio Duo Crespi and Milani To Support Promotion Ambitions

Avellino are making their intentions clear this summer: invest in youth, build for the future, and assemble a squad that can grow together under pressure. As part of this strategy, the Campania-based club has secured two highly promising players from Lazio—Valerio Crespi and Alessandro Milani—highlighting their ambition for the upcoming season.

The first major move came with the permanent signing of Valerio Crespi, a 2004-born forward who joins Avellino after progressing through the Lazio youth ranks and gaining experience in Italy’s lower divisions. Officially announced by the club, Crespi has signed a three-year deal after leaving Lazio.

Crespi spent last season between Sudtirol and Feralpisalò, appearing in Serie B and Serie C, as well as the playoffs and Coppa Italia. Across all competitions, he tallied 51 professional appearances—valuable mileage for a player still just 19 years old.

Known for his intelligent movement, solid technique, and nose for goal, Crespi will be expected to take a central role in Avellino’s offensive plans. The club sees him as a key building block—not just for the present campaign, but for a long-term project centered on developing homegrown talent.

Not stopping there, Avellino also announced the arrival of left-back Alessandro Milani on loan, with an option to buy and a counter-option in favor of Lazio. Milani, born in 2005, is a product of Lazio’s youth setup and played a crucial part in the Primavera squad's promotion to the top division.

His performances have earned him recognition on the international stage too, with appearances for Italy’s youth teams and a recent call-up to the Venezuela U-20 side. A powerful and technically sound fullback, Milani is expected to provide both defensive solidity and attacking width—attributes valued highly by head coach Michele Pazienza.

Both signings represent more than just additions to the squad; they are statements of intent. Under Pazienza’s guidance, Avellino is crafting a squad that blends youthful energy with the hunger to prove themselves in senior football. It’s a long-view strategy designed not only to compete in Serie C, but to lay the foundation for sustainable growth.

Crespi and Milani aren’t just prospects—they’re part of a growing core of young players being trusted with responsibility early in their careers. And with a clear development path and competitive structure, Avellino could be positioning itself as one of the most forward-thinking clubs in the division.

As pre-season rolls on, fans in Irpinia will be watching closely as these two former Biancocelesti try to make their mark in green and white.
