[Official] Spezia Sign Artistico On Loan From Lazio

Lazio continue their strategy of developing young talent, as promising center forward Gabriele Artistico heads to Spezia on loan. The 22-year-old striker, who made waves during his recent loan spells at Juve Stabia and Cosenza, will now get his chance to prove himself in Serie B—this time in the black and white of Spezia.

Artistico’s journey is a testament to Lazio’s focus on giving their young prospects valuable first-team experience. After starting in the Parma youth system and making his professional debut with the Crociati, the Roman-born attacker briefly ventured abroad with NK Lokomotiva Zagreb in Croatia, before returning to Italy for spells in Serie C with Monterosi, Gubbio, and Renate.

It was at Virtus Francavilla where Artistico truly caught the eye—his tally of 12 goals and 2 assists in 37 matches highlighted his development and nose for goal, earning him opportunities at higher levels.

Last season, Artistico furthered his experience with Juve Stabia and Cosenza, registering 7 goals and 1 assist across 33 appearances in Italy’s second tier. His growth and tenacity in front of goal have now earned him a move to Spezia, a club eager to climb back to the top flight.

The agreement, finalized after weeks of negotiations, sees Artistico join Spezia on loan, with an option to buy and a counter-option reserved for Lazio. This arrangement not only gives Spezia a hungry young forward but also allows Lazio to retain a stake in Artistico’s future.
