[Official] Romano Floriani Mussolini Named Best Right-Back in Serie B At Gran Galà del Calcio

It was a memorable evening for Romano Floriani Mussolini, who received the “Top 11 Best Right-Back” award for the 2024/2025 Lega Serie B season during the prestigious Gran Galà del Calcio, also known as the Italian Football Awards, held in Arezzo.

The event, now in its 14th edition, is one of the most anticipated celebrations in Italian football. Each year it brings together the standout players, coaches, and professionals from Serie A, Serie B, and women’s football to honor excellence across the country’s top leagues.

In Arezzo, the stage was set to celebrate last season’s most distinguished performers. Among them stood Floriani Mussolini, a product of Lazio’s youth academy who has continued to develop impressively. Now a key figure for Cremonese, he earned his place in the Serie B Team of the Season thanks to consistent growth and solid performances, particularly during his time with Juve Stabia.

Speaking after receiving the award, the 21-year-old right-back reflected on his journey and ambitions. “My approach was gradual. It went very well against Sassuolo, and little by little I earned the coach’s trust. I hope I can continue like this. Cremonese started strong, our goal is to stay up, and every match is like a final for us. Unfortunately, the match against Pisa went badly, but we hope to bounce back soon,” he said.

The defender also shared his ongoing connection with Lazio, where he grew up and developed his footballing foundation. “I always follow Lazio, I watch every match, but I think about it relatively. I focus more on myself, and whatever comes next will come naturally,” he added.

When asked about the national team, Floriani Mussolini was clear and humble in his answer. “More than a goal, it is a dream. For now, I am focused on doing well with Cremonese,” he said with determination.

Currently enjoying an excellent season with Cremonese, Floriani Mussolini also shared a photo of his award on social media, accompanied by a simple message of gratitude to his teammates and coaches.
