Noslin Steps Up In Parma And Forces Lazio To Rethink His Role
Tijjani Noslin proved decisive in Lazio’s victory over Parma at the Ennio Tardini Stadium. The Dutch forward scored the crucial goal that secured three points for the Biancoceleste, despite the team being reduced to nine men. It was his second goal of the season, but one of great importance, as it moved Lazio closer to the European qualification places.
More than just a goal, the strike is reportedly capable of reshaping Noslin’s future at the Stadio Olimpico. Since Maurizio Sarri’s arrival, the 26 year old has often been sidelined and has struggled to fully express his potential since joining the club last season.
This development represents a remarkable turnaround compared to last summer, when Noslin was widely considered a possible transfer asset. Even while under a transfer embargo, Lazio ultimately decided to keep the player.
According to Football Italia, until just a few weeks ago Noslin’s future with the Biancoceleste appeared uncertain, with the possibility of a swap deal or a permanent transfer on the table. However, his winning goal in Parma, combined with Sarri’s positive post match comments, could now alter that scenario.
Noslin was signed by Lazio for the 2023 24 season, arriving from Hellas Verona for a fee of 15.7 million euros. In his debut campaign, he recorded six goals in 39 appearances across all competitions. While useful, those numbers still fell short of the club’s expectations, as Lazio hoped he would replicate the productivity he showed during his time with the Gialloblu.
