Parma Win Lifts Sarri Into Lazio’s Top Five Coaches For Points Won

It was a memorable night for Lazio at the Ennio Tardini, where Tijjani Noslin’s decisive goal delivered three precious points and capped off an important milestone for Maurizio Sarri. The victory not only strengthened the Biancoceleste’s league position but also pushed Sarri into the club’s history books, as he climbed into fifth place among Lazio managers with the most points accumulated in charge.

With this latest success, Sarri has now reached 200 points at the helm of the capital club, placing him alongside some of the most influential figures to ever sit on Lazio’s bench. Only four managers now stand ahead of him in the all time ranking.

At the top remains Simone Inzaghi, who amassed 359 points during his tenure between 2016 and 2021. Under his guidance, Lazio enjoyed one of the most successful modern eras, lifting two Italian Super Cups in 2017 and 2019 and the Coppa Italia in the 2018 to 2019 season.

Second place belongs to Dino Zoff, who collected 283 points across several spells with the club between 1990 and 2001. Although silverware proved elusive, Zoff’s work was crucial in re establishing Lazio as a competitive force in Europe, leading them back into the UEFA Cup.

Delio Rossi and Sven Goran Eriksson share third and fourth place on 218 points. Rossi’s period from 2005 to 2009 culminated in a Coppa Italia triumph, while Eriksson’s era between 1997 and 2001 remains one of the most glorious in Lazio history. The Swedish coach delivered the historic Scudetto in 1999 to 2000, two Coppa Italia titles, the Cup Winners’ Cup, and the UEFA Super Cup.

Sarri, now fifth on the list, is yet to lift a trophy with Lazio. However, his impact goes beyond silverware. His identity, ideas, and deep connection with the club have earned him lasting affection from the fanbase. Nights like Parma, sealed by Noslin’s goal, further underline how Sarri continues to write his own chapter in Lazio’s long and storied history.
