Lazio Agree Deal For Polish Wonderkid Adrian Przyborek
Lazio are not slowing down in the final days of the January transfer window. Reports from Poland claim the Biancoceleste have reached a full agreement with Pogon Szczecin to sign highly rated attacking midfielder Adrian Przyborek, one of the brightest young talents in the Ekstraklasa.
According to Tomasz WÅ‚odarczyk, Lazio’s agreement is valued at €4.5 million, with a further €2.5 million in add-ons and a 20% sell-on clause in Pogon’s favor. The report also notes that Pogon pushed for faster instalments, and the two clubs found a structure that worked for both sides. Przyborek was initially due to travel to Italy on Thursday for his medical and signature, but the latest update says the tests have been pushed back to Saturday morning due to logistical issues.
If completed, it would be another clear signal that Lazio want to rebuild quickly after last summer’s transfer problems. The club have already added multiple reinforcements in January, including Petar Ratkov, Kenneth Taylor, Edoardo Motta and Daniel Maldini, and Przyborek would be the next piece in a busy winter plan.
Przyborek, 19, has been with Pogon since 2020 and has already piled up significant senior experience. Włodarczyk reports 83 appearances, five goals and 13 assists since reaching the first team, numbers that explain why several clubs have monitored him for months.
From Lazio’s point of view, the interesting part is how Sarri could use him. Przyborek is described as a creative, technical midfielder who can operate high between the lines, but also has the engine to play deeper when needed. That flexibility matters, because Sarri’s 4-3-3 does not naturally feature a classic number 10, so Lazio would be betting on a profile that can grow into a mezzala role and add imagination from midfield.
Nothing is signed yet, but the direction is clear. Lazio are looking for youth, upside, and resale potential, and Przyborek fits that blueprint perfectly. The next step is the medical, then the paperwork, and Formello could soon welcome another young project player with a very high ceiling.
