Lazio missed a big chance to take control of their Coppa Italia semi final after being held to a dramatic 2 to 2 draw by Atalanta at the Stadio Olimpico on March 4, 2026. After full time, Sarri pointed to the missing Olimpico atmosphere as a factor, arguing Lazio might have been able to carry the win over the line with the fans behind them.

The tie now moves to Bergamo later in April, with the second leg scheduled for April 22 according to major fixtures listings, and the stakes could not be clearer: one good night can still turn this cup run into the defining story of Lazio’s season.
