Napoli Is Looking For Felipe Caicedo From Lazio

Napoli is reportedly interested in signing Lazio striker Felipe Caicedo in this summer's transfer window as a replacement for Andrea Petagna, who is being targeted by Torino.  The player from Ecuador has been a cover for Ciro Immobile at the Italian capital club.

According to reports by Italian media, TuttoMercatoWeb, Torino are interested in signing Andrea Petagna from Napoli this summer as a replacement for Andrea Belotti, who has been heavily linked with a move to Jose Mourinho's team, AS Roma.

As a result, Il Partenopei is looking for a suitable replacement for the 26-year-old striker and 32-year-old Felipe Caicedo from Lazio is a strong option.  While the Biancoceleste will have to review the situation first, as Ciro Immobile is confirmed to be still the main striker under the new coach, Maurizio Sarri and it is still unclear who will become his vice, Vedat Muriqi or Caicedo.

So far there has been no concrete offer from Luciano Spaletti's team and things are expected to show further developments in the coming weeks.  While Caicedo's contract with The Aquile will run until next year in 2022, and last season he made 25 appearances in Serie A with a total of 921 minutes played, in that period he scored eight goals.  Previously, the Ecuadorian striker had also been linked with a transfer to Simone Inzaghi's team, Inter Milan this summer.
