"The Mini Messi" Will Sign 5 Years Contract With Lazio

Lazio is reported to have beaten AC Milan and Arsenal in the hunt for the talented Real Mallorca teenager nicknamed the mini Lionel Messi, Luka Romero, in the transfer market this summer.

Calciomercato and Fabrizio Romano stated that the Biancoceleste had reached an agreement with Mallorca to sign Romero and the transaction was close to being finalized.  Shortly the player will land in Rome to undergo his medical with the club, after which he will sign a five-year contract with a club that has beaten the competition from the Rossoneri and Arsenal.

The 16-year-old is widely discussed for becoming the youngest debutant in La Liga history, playing last June against Real Madrid at the age of just 15 years 219 days, and he is tipped to have a bright future being dubbed the mini Messi, even though he is an impromptu attacking midfielder.

His agent, Fali Ramadani, was behind the successful transaction and now Romero will leave Mallorca and join Lazio.  For now, he is planning to become a member of the club's Under-19 team next season, but Maurizio Sarri still wants to evaluate him and he could feature in the first team sooner.  Now, with his transfer just a step away from being completely finalized, Milan appears to have started to move on from the player and study other targets.
