Joaquin Correa Becomes Inter's Target To Replace Lautaro Martinez

Lazio star striker Joaquin Correa is reportedly a target for defending Serie A champions Inter Milan if they sell Lautaro Martinez this summer.  Correa has just returned from his summer vacation after playing for Argentina in Copa America.

According to reports by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Inter is eyeing Lazio's 26-year-old striker Joaquin Correa as a replacement for Lautaro Martinez if Simone Inzaghi's team sell him to Premier League giants Arsenal this summer.

The forward reportedly asked to leave the Italian capital club earlier this year and has a strong relationship with new Nerazzuri coach Simone Inzaghi.  This coupled with their participation in the Champions League competition this season is likely to convince the 26-year-old player to be willing to move to Milan.

But everything still depends on the sale of Lautaro to Arsenal and nothing will happen until the Premier League club successfully secures his services.  The 26-year-old is scheduled to return to Rome this Saturday and will hold talks with the Aquile's new coach, Maurizio Sarri, who could also determine his future.

The Argentina international is still under contract with The Aquile until 2024, contributing eight goals and four assists in 28 appearances in Serie A last season and helping his team secure sixth place in the standings and qualify for next season's Europa League.
