[OFFICIAL] Vinicio Espinal Sign As Calori's Assistant Coach

The Lazio Primavera season is also about to begin, Mr. Alessandro Calori has worked so far alongside Sarri with the first team. But now, he is gathering his squads and staff to prepare for the upcoming season. 

As reported in today's press review by Radiosei, the youth coach now has a new collaborator: he is Vinicio Espinal, former Dominican footballer of Atalanta, Monza, and Crotone who Calori coached in Portogruaro in the 2009/2010 season and who will be his assistant in Rome. 

On 6 May Espinal became Mapello's coach, in Excellence, but he freed himself to follow Calori to Lazio, starting with Celleno's retirement in which the Primavera will take part.

In an interview with the newspaper Tuttosport, the former Atalanta player recounted the call from the Capital club.

"I start from scratch, just like when as a boy I moved with my family from Santo Domingo to Italy. I leave with my suitcase full of dreams from Bergamo towards my new adventure at the Lazio Primavera of mister Alessandro Calori, as an assistant coach." He said

"I do not deny that the most difficult part was separating me from my family, but they are my first supporters and then it is an unmissable opportunity. Officially a second youth begins for me."

"There is a relationship of absolute esteem between us. During the first lock-down, I worked hard, collecting all my tactical and game ideas in a portfolio that I sent to some clubs. In March 2020, I had an individual interview with Calori, but months passed before I was called back and in the meantime, I was registered with Mapello, and then became their coach as well."

"The official Lazio proposal arrived only recently, and at that point, I had no doubts about which decision to take. I think the coach strongly believes in my qualities."
