Red Star Interested In Recruiting Unused Lazio Defender

Serbian club, Red Star is reportedly interested in signing unused Lazio defender Dimitrije Kamenovic on loan this summer.  The player is not included in the plans of coach Maurizio Sarri in this 2021/22 season.

According to reports by Serbian media, Alo.rs, 21-year-old Serbian defender Dimitrije Kamenovic was not in Maurizio Sarri's plans this season but Lazio failed to find a new club for him in this summer's market.

However, several transfers are still open in countries such as Ukraine, Turkey, and Serbia, meaning the Biancoceleste can still release the player.  Serbian league champions Red Star are reportedly interested in signing Kamenovic on loan, they need an alternative to Milan Rodic as well as the option to rotate their squad participating in this season's Europa League.

The latest developments regarding this transfer are expected to be imminent as The Aquile does not want to keep Kamenovic this season after the player failed to convince coach Maurizio Sarri in pre-season training at Auronzo di Cadore.  The 21-year-old player was brought in from Cukaricki earlier this summer for a transfer value of 2.5 million euros.

Previously, as reported by Italian media, LazioNews24 stated that the defender had not been registered by The Aquile to the league because they were waiting for the arrival of Eintracht Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic but because the transfer failed, Kamenovic could have been registered but the problem was he was not included in Sarri's plans the club will let him go.
