Sarri Has A Bad Records Against Allegri

November 19, 2021

Lazio coach, Maurizio Sarri has a bad record against Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri ahead of the match between the two teams which will take place on Saturday (20/11) afternoon local time at the Stadio Olimpico.

As reported by Transfermarkt, 62-year-old coach Maurizio Sarri has faced Massimiliano Allegri 11 times in the past, scoring 0.91 points per game.  In those 11 matches, he won only three times, drew one, and lost seven times.

Certainly, Sarri hopes to improve on his record in Lazio's next match against Juventus on Saturday, an important match for the Biancoceleste who are looking to fight for a top-four finish this 2021/22 season.

The 62-year-old coach's first meeting with Allegri occurred in January 2008 when his team at that time, Hellas Verona lost to Allegri's team, Sassuolo with a score of 2-0 in a Serie C match. The second meeting took place six years later when Sarri Empoli's team lost 2-0 to the Bianconeri at home.

The Italian coach's three victories against the Bianconeri have all come while he was in charge of Napoli, in three different seasons, winning 2-1 in September 2015, winning 3-2 in the Coppa Italia in April 2017, and winning 1-0 away in April 2018.

Meanwhile, The Aquile are currently fifth in the Serie A standings with 21 points after 12 matches played, while the Bianconeri are in eighth place with 18 points.
