Marusic: "We've Shown How We Should Play, This Is What We Should Be Doing All The Time. We Hope To Do That (Clean Sheet) In The Next Game."

Lazio full-back, Adam Marusic underlined the importance of the 3-1 win over the host Sampdoria last Sunday night.  The defender was absent for two weeks due to contracting Covid.


The 29-year-old from Montenegro, Adam Marusic discussed his physical condition after Lazio's win over Sampdoria last Sunday night.


"I feel good, I'm back playing after two weeks, today we won, this is important, today we started the game well with the desire to win," he said via DAZN.


"In the second half the red card for Milinkovic-Savic made things more difficult, but the most important thing was to win."


The Biancoceleste full-back discussed the difference between the first and second half in the victory over Il Samp.


"We scored three goals, Milinkovic-Savic was sent off, then Il Samp also played very well."


Marusic then discussed the performance of the Biancoceleste in the victory.


"We've shown how we should play, this is what we should be doing all the time."


The 29-year-old player from Montenegro discussed his team's desire to keep more clean sheets.


"In the first half we wanted to try to get it but in the last minute they scored."


"We hope to do that in the next game."


The full-back from Montenegro, who is contracted by the Biancoceleste until next year, has made 15 appearances in all competitions this season with a total of 1097 minutes played.  He has shown his tactical flexibility and coach Maurizio Sarri considers him an important part of his squad, so discussions about his new contract are ongoing.
