Milinkovic-Savic: "I Want Us To Finish In The Top Four, It's Tough, But There's Still A Lot Of Games Left."


Lazio midfielder, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic did not hide the problems faced by his team after being held to a 3-3 draw by his visitors, Empoli in the match which took place on Thursday (06/01).


The Serbian midfielder, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic comments on Lazio's draw from Empoli at the Stadio Olimpico on Thursday night.  The player seemed to regret that his team could not get the three perfect points.


"We lost two important points, we tried and gave everything, but we will take it," he said via DAZN.


"We have to learn from today's mistakes and think about the next game."


The 26-year-old player has not been able to confirm where the problems experienced by the Biancoceleste are.


"I think it's difficult to explain what is going on, we have to try not to make any more mistakes in individual moments."


The Serbian midfielder referred to the team's mindset and how it affected them when they fell behind.


"We have extraordinary character, but we must not only show it when we are behind, but we also have to show it from kick-off."


In the end, Milinkovic-Savic discussed his team's targets this season.


"I want us to finish in the top four, it's tough, but there's still a lot of games left."


The 26-year-old, whose contract with the Biancoceleste runs until 2024, put in a strong performance against Empoli, scoring twice and contributing one assist, including his 94th-minute strike which equalized to save a point for the Rome side.
