Lazio striker, Ciro Immobile discusses his love of football and reveals where he came from which has made him one of the best players in Italy and even in Europe today.


Ciro Immobile talks about his love for football and reveals where he has been able to have a career in the sport to date and has won various achievements both at club level with Lazio and also international trophies with the Azzurri national team.


"The love for football was transmitted by my father, my uncle, and also my grandparents who owned a club in Torre Annunziata, my father was a great striker and he has scored many goals," said the 32-year-old striker as quoted by Lazionews24.


"He was my first teacher, my humble family with strong values ​​were very important in supporting me and continuing to encourage me, without them I could never have done it."


The 32-year-old striker has a contract with the Biancoceleste until 2026 and has made 29 appearances in all competitions so far in the 2021/22 season with a total of 2366 minutes.  In that period he has scored 23 goals and contributed three assists, and became a pillar for Maurizio Sarri's team.


The Italy international was ruled out of the Europa League last-16 play-off first leg against Porto due to flu symptoms, and it remains unclear whether he will be fit enough to face Udinese on Sunday evening.
