[Serie A] Udinese - Lazio = 1 - 1

February 21, 2022

There was no winner in the Serie A match between Udinese vs Lazio.  The two teams drew 1-1.

Felipe Anderson ended his four-month goal drought in Serie A to lead Lazio to a point at home to Udinese who scored from Gerard Deulofeu, in the Italian League match, Sunday evening local time.

Lazio is without Ciro Immobile, who is still sidelined due to illness, while Luis Alberto and Lucas Leiva have been suspended, while Francesco Acerbi and Manuel Lazzari have been sidelined through injury and the teams also still have fatigue due to having just competed in the Europa League last Thursday.

Hosts Udinese got off to a perfect start when Nahuel Molina's cross was crossed by Nehuen Perez to be cleared by Gerard Deulofeu in the fifth minute of the first half.

But Lazio finally equalized in the last minute of the first half when Danilo Cataldi's free-kick was deflected by Sergej Milinkovic-Savic which was followed by Felipe Anderson's header at the back post. It was Anderson's first goal in a Serie A game since 16th October last year.

Udinese and Lazio did not loosen up attacks into the second half. But both teams failed to add goals until the end whistle sounded by the referee.  Udinese vs Lazio finished 1-1 and had to settle for sharing the numbers.

The addition of one point does not change the position of the two teams in the Italian League standings.  Lazio is stuck in sixth place with 43 points, while Udinese is 16th with 25 points.
