[Official] Lazio Finally Register Kamenovic's Contract

Lazio finally signed up Serbian defender Dimitrije Kamenovic on the last day of the January window, and the decision was accompanied by the disappointment that coach Maurizio Sarri has harbored, who has not been impressed with the appearance of the player who was signed a year ago.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Lazio has finally signed up 21-year-old Serbian defender Dimitrije Kamenovic as their player, who joined the Olimpico from his native Cukaricki exactly one year ago.

Coach Maurizio Sarri appreciates Kamenovic's commitment to training but does not think the player will fit into his squad and he prefers a player who is more experienced and tactically flexible.

However, the good relationship between the Biancoceleste management and Kamenovic's agent, Mateja Kezman, made the player's contract finally official.  Although there was an opportunity to be loaned to another club at the last minute, it seems that the capital club chose to keep the defender in their squad in the second half of the season.

The 21-year-old player, Kamenovic was recruited with a transfer value of 2.5 million euros in the January market last year and so far the investment has not paid off and his contract will still last until 2026. Meanwhile, in the January market, the Italian capital club only brought in one new player, namely  Sporting Lisbon winger, Jovane Cabral despite having released several fringe players from their first team.
