Lazio After Kostic Again, But Now Roma Also After Him Too

Two city rivals, Lazio and Roma are reportedly ready to be involved in a fierce competition for Filip Kostic's services in the next summer market after Eintracht Frankfurt reportedly will not renew his contract.

Lazio was eager to sign 29-year-old Serbian winger Filip Kostic in the summer market but they failed to work out a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt, who do not want to lose the player.  It was a frustrating situation for the club from the Italian capital after spending a lot of time.

Discussions with the Bundesliga club reportedly stalled in the final days of the transfer window, and the German club rejected all offers made by The Aquile and forced them to shift their targets.  Feeling disappointed with the failure of his transfer to the Olimpico, Kostic decided to part with his agent Fali Ramadani who also represented coach Maurizio Sarri.

However, the latest news reported by Calciomercato reveals that Roma is also eyeing Kostic's services and they plan to sign him in the summer and are ready to compete with the Biancoceleste in securing his contract.

The Serbian winger is likely to be brought in cheaply considering his contract with the Bundesliga club will expire in 2023 and end his three-year tenure with die Adler.

Kostic has made 22 Bundesliga appearances so far in the 2021/22 season totaling 1837 minutes, during which time he scored three goals and provided eight assists.
