Florian Grillitsch Is Wanted By Lazio

Lazio is reportedly looking for Hoffenheim midfielder Florian Grillitsch, as well as several other European clubs including Roma, Arsenal, and Newcastle, who are looking to sign the player for free next summer.

There will be no shortage of interest in Florian Grillitsch this summer, with Lazio, Roma, Arsenal, and Newcastle United all looking to sign him for free. The 26-year-old Austrian midfielder has endured a difficult season in the Bundesliga at Hoffenheim, where he has struggled in some games due to muscle problems and illness. Still, he's a strong defender, very comfortable with the ball at his feet, and has made good progress in the game.

LazioNews24 reports that Grillitsch will leave Hoffenheim on a free transfer next month, while Biancoceleste is one of four clubs looking to sign him, facing Roma, Arsenal, and Newcastle.

With Lazio still struggling with the liquidity index, the club is also keeping a close eye on players on free transfers as they prepare to overhaul their squad with limited funds.

The 26-year-old center-back and defensive midfielder is a proactive and creative defender. This season the Austrian defender is averaging 1.99 shots per 90 minutes, 5.06 progressive passes per 90, 4.46 progressive carries, and 55.4 passes completed per 90.
