Marcos Antonio Is Coming Closer To Lazio From Shakhtar

Marcos Antonio and Lazio is the story of an alliance that may soon complete. The club has been working behind the scene, starting talks a few weeks ago, and now that the situation has developed, there is a good chance it will end on a positive note.

Regista, but also a midfielder if necessary, Marcos Antonio is a class of 2000 owned by Shakhtar Donetsk.  Youth, class, and dynamism for Sarri who studied it with his staff and chose him if not being able to get to Maxime Lopez or Vitinha who are too expensive for Lazio's budget.

The Brazilian has not too different characteristics: he is dynamic, sees the game, has good feet, and is young. An aspect not to be underestimated. Sarri wants to rejuvenate Lazio, refresh it, lower the average age and offer more resistance in the face of three competitions.

Marcos Antonio could come to the capital for around 10 million. Here we are, just missing some details. The player's contract runs until 2027.

Born in Poçoes, Bahia, Marcos Antonio took his first steps as a footballer at Atletico Paranaense, only at youth with Furacão. His first-team debut has yet to come. However, the move came to Portugal, to Estoril Praia, with which he only made 3 appearances.

Still very young, at 18, he was bought by Shakhtar and slowly began his climb.  So far, he has made 101 appearances in the Ukrainian club's jersey (22 in European competitions), scoring 9 goals and providing 5 assists.

Marcos Antonio could be used as a regista, which seems to be Sarri's idea. At Shakhtar, he often played in the two mid lanes of the 4-2-3-1, but also served as a pivot in the 4-1-4-1 mid lane. He can also play as a mezzala and tactically, he's a player who needs to be fully trained, and it's Sarri's job to work for that.

Over the past few months, Juventus has insistently approached the boy. Now Lazio has knocked on Marcos Antonio's door and they are very close.
