Vecino: "I'm Surprised By The Rumours Of A Possible Move To Lazio, I Haven't Spoken To Anyone At That Club, Not Even The Coach. I Will Choose My Next Destination Based On The Club I Want."

The summer transfer market has yet to open, but Lazio is already heading in that direction. There are many names on the wish list, and one of the target midfielders is Matias Vecino.

The Uruguayan has yet to renew his contract with Inter, so it would be a free transfer. There are no insignificant details.

Speaking of which, on the Ultimo Arco radio show, the midfielder revealed:

"I was shocked by what happened at Inter. At the beginning of the season, the coach told me that my contract situation would not affect my participation."

And then a joke about Lazio's interest:

"I'm surprised by the rumors of a possible move to Lazio, I haven't spoken to anyone at that club, not even the coach, I know him well and have good memories of him. Now I only think about the national team and matches in the United States."

"I am open to different possibilities, I have not closed any leagues, my agent is handling several requests from Italy, England, Spain, France, and Germany. I will choose my next destination based on the club I want, it will not be a choice made based on the World Cup."
