Galatasaray's Young Talent Is On The Radar Of Roma And Lazio

Lazio has their eyes on Turkey again, with the young Galatasaray talent on their radar, but beware of a potential market derby.

Lazio has often shown interest in the Turkish Championship and its best representatives. The latest signing in the SuperLiga was Vedat Muriqi, who is currently underperforming, scoring just two goals in 49 appearances.

According to the Ensonhaber portal, Lazio is ready to try again and will be targeting the talented class of 2000 Yunus Akgun. The Galatasaray-owned winger was the protagonist of a fantastic season, scoring nine goals and 17 assists in 39 games on loan at Adana Demirspor, who is coached by Vincenzo Montella.

However, his talent has attracted not only Lazio but also Mourinho's Roma, who are looking for a winger to replace Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who is on the verge of a move to Inter. Rumors from Turkey suggest a possible transfer market derby, which could raise the €7.5 million valuations of Akgun.

Lazio had previously investigated the boy in 2019, and he was on the list of Igli Tare, who was fascinated by his talent, at the age of 19. However, certain circumstances resulted in the mission being canceled and the sporting director pursuing other goals. Biancoceleste is now ready to try again but to win Akgun's performance they will have to contend with their city rivals.
