Struggled To Get Carnesecchi, Lazio Turn To Another Target

Lazio has reportedly struggled to get the services of their target goalkeeper Marco Canesecchi, leading Maurizio Sarri's side to turn to another target, Granada goalkeeper Luis Maximiano.

Having struggled to sign Carnesecchi from Atalanta, Lazio has already started looking for other options and has added Luis Maximiano to their list. The 23-year-old Portuguese goalkeeper impressed in his debut season in Granada, keeping eight clean sheets and conceding 55 goals in 35 La Liga appearances. He has proven to be a reliable and agile goalkeeper that has attracted Lazio's interest.

According to Il Messaggero, Lazio is currently considering signing Luis Maximiano in the coming weeks, but they must be ready to compete with Napoli, who are also experiencing a goalkeeping crisis.

While Lazio's first-choice goalkeeper remains Carnesecchi, Maximiano could be one of their main replacements if things don't go their way.

Meanwhile, Maurizio Sarri and fans are frustrated by the Italian capital's slow progress in the transfer market this summer, with Marcos Antonio their only signing so far. Lazio is also at risk of losing their main target Alessio Romagnoli, which is sure to further complicate the situation.
