[Official] Muriqi Has Left Lazio And Joined Mallorca Permanently

Kosovo national team striker Vedat Muriqi has officially left Lazio to join Mallorca. He is back in La Liga after his loan deal proved positive in the second half of last season.

Vedat Muriqi has left Lazio to play permanently at RCD Mallorca after a positive loan spell in the second half of last season. The 28-year-old Kosovo striker joined Mallorca on a six-month loan in January and made an immediate impression. He scored 4 goals and provided 3 assists in 15 La Liga games to help Mallorca avoid relegation.

Lazio issued a statement on Friday (22/07) confirming the permanent sale of Muriqi to Mallorca, where he signed a multi-year contract. According to Corriere dello Sport, the deal is worth 10-11 million euros, with an initial value of 8 million euros and a bonus of 2-3 million euros. It is considered enough to avoid a huge loss for Lazio.

The 28-year-old will sign a four-year contract with Mallorca and will receive a salary of 2.2 million euros per season.

In his 2 seasons at Lazio, he made 49 appearances in all competitions, scoring 2 goals and providing 2 assists. He failed to live up to his expectations for a €20m transfer fee and never showed his true form in the Italian capital.
