Sarri: "European Games Are Always Tough, I'm Disappointed With Our Sloppy Performance In The Last 20 Minutes Because It's A Very Big Risk In European Competition."

Lazio managed to win their first UEL group stage match with a 4-2 win over Feyenoord on Thursday night (08/09) local time at the Stadio Olimpico.

Lazio dominated the hour-long match at the Stadio Olimpico with four goals from Luis Alberto, Felipe Anderson, and a brace from Matias Vecino. But they were a little complacent after leading 4-0 and conceding a brace from Santiago Gimenez through a penalty from a Matias Vecino tackle and a goal from open play.

"European games are always tough and foreign clubs don't give up after going 4-0 down, so we should play with passion in the last 20 minutes as before," Sarri told Sky Sport Italia.

"We had a very good top performance in the first 60 minutes. I'm disappointed with our sloppy performance in the last 20 minutes because it's a very big risk in European competition."

The coach has only made a few rotations for his team.

"We rest three players, give the other players time and we'll see if we need to make any changes for the next game."

"We still have limitations mentally because after showing a lot of determination and the right approach, we finally relax and it's dangerous."

"I think we didn't get the results we deserved in Serie A, partly because of our mistakes and partly because of what happened."
