Sarri: "We Can't Always Expect To Win Every Games, I Want To Give The Team An Identity Before Starting The Rotation."

Maurizio Sarri was aware of Lazio's 1-2 home defeat against Napoli in front of their fans in the Serie A match is very bitter.

Lazio initially took the lead in the fourth minute through Mattia Zaccagni but was punished by two goals from Il Partenopei, who appeared to play at different paces in the second half. Meanwhile, the hosts struggled to get back into the game.

"We struggled in the first few minutes of the second half, but after that, we did well and it felt like we could get back into the game," the coach said via Sky Sport Italia.

"Napoli are a very strong team and they could have won easily in a different way, but the fact that they have won this way is bittersweet."

"The goal in the first few minutes made us defend too much, that's probably true."

Sarri has never changed his squad, and the rotation has been very limited so far this season.

"I want to give the team an identity before starting the rotation, and when the team already has an identity, it's easier for other players to come in and it won't change much. Of course, to get here, we have to adapt," he said.

"We're still working on it, it's a good environment, we can't always expect to win every game, there are a lot of teams in the league that are stronger than us, but we've proven ourselves and I can feel the bond between them. The gap is getting smaller and smaller."
