Against Spezia, Milinkovic-Savic Wants To Set A New Record For Lazio

The Serbian midfielder, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is reportedly targeting his 50th goal for Lazio when the Italian capital play in Serie A on Sunday (02/10) against Spezia.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has been a key figure in Lazio's midfield and is aiming to score his 50th Serie A goal against Spezia this weekend.

The 27-year-old Serbian midfielder joins Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne in an exclusive list of midfielders with at least 20 goals and at least 20 assists in the past three seasons as the most powerful midfielders in the world. Despite the rumors that flooded the transfer market last summer, the player continued to show his best form for the Biancoceleste.

As reported by Gazzetta dello Sport, Milinkovic-Savic scored his 49th goal in Serie A in a 4-0 win over Cremonese before the international break and he is looking to score his 50th goal in a game against Spezia.

The Serbian midfielder has scored a total of 60 goals since joining The Aquile in 2015, he had five goals in the Coppa Italia and six in the Europa League.

The 27-year-old is the only midfielder on the list of Lazio's top 10 goalscorers in Serie A, another goal would put him in 9th place on the list above Renzo Garlaschelli. He is only five goals behind the German legend, Miroslav Klose, in terms of total goals.
