Sarri: "I'm Quite Happy With The Overall Performance Of The Team, It's Fun To Work With These Guys, Lazio Is An Interesting Team."

Maurizio Sarri is still not entirely satisfied with Lazio's 2-1 win over Midtjylland in their Group F match at the Stadio Olimpico on Thursday night (27/10).

Lazio's mistake from Mario Gila saw them concede first through Gustav Isaksen and bounce back through Milinkovic-Savic and Pedro. With a 2-1 win over Midtjylland, Lazio temporarily leads Europa League Group F.

"We made it difficult for ourselves because we conceded a goal in the first few minutes because of our error, so we should have scored earlier," Sarri said via Sky Sport Italia.

It was another victory for Biancoceleste without their top scorer and captain Ciro Immobile.

"Our attacking moves are good, Matteo Cancellieri is young and tonight he was better as a winger than a striker, but considering he's been in this position throughout his career, it's normal," the coach explained.

"I also liked Marcos Antonio's performance, he made a mistake in the first goal, but others also had a few mistakes, including on the surface."

"I'm quite happy with the overall performance of the team and we should have won 4-1."

Biancoceleste has been impressive in Serie A and has moved up to the third place with six clean sheets in a row, but has so far failed to achieve that in the Europa League.

"If I can enjoy training then I can carry on during the game, it's fun to work with these guys, we also have some really good technical qualities, so if we can do that, Lazio is an interesting team."
