Sarri: "Lazio Usually Does Little Or Nothing In The Winter Transfer Market, I'm Not Worried If The Club Decides To Pursue It In January Or June Because I Have Other Ideas."

Maurizio Sarri discussed what Lazio should do in the January market after a 3-0 loss to Juventus in Serie A on Sunday (13/11). The 63-year-old coach spoke lightly of his club's activities in the next winter market.

Lazio was quite active in the transfer market last summer, signing eight new players to strengthen their squad for the 2022/23 season. However, according to Maurizio Sarri, the market will be different in January as, as usual, the clubs are not as active as in previous years.

"I haven't talked to the club or the player about the transfer. Lazio usually does little or nothing in the winter transfer market, the history of the club is like that. I don't think there will be any major intervention." The coach said via DAZN.

"I could ask for ten players, but the market is always a trade-off between technical needs and availability and the mentality of the clubs."

"I have clear ideas and I'm not worried if the club decides to pursue it in January or June because I have other ideas."

Lazio signed just one player on loan from Sporting CP, Jovane Cabral in the last January transfer window, a player who proved unable to make the impact the club and his manager wanted.
