Immobile Injury Update: Likely Return Early February

January 18, 2023

Bad news for Maurizio Sarri in regards to the upcoming Lazio matches, Ciro Immobile who left early during Sunday's match against Sassuolo, underwent tests today that revealed a first-degree injury to the semitendinosus of the right thigh.

The player has begun rehabilitation and will be closely monitored by doctors.

Ciro Immobile's injury is said to be less severe than originally anticipated, however, it is expected that this will have a significant impact on his availability. Specifically, the stop should take place between 15 and 20 days.

As a result, a realistic timeframe for Immobile to return is the possible Italian Cup's quarterfinals against the winner of Juventus-Monza, and the Serie A match against Hellas Verona, respectively scheduled for February 2 and 6. However, everyone hopes that Immobile will recover earlier given that his presence is still vital to the team.
