Lazio And Zaccagni Still Have A Difference In The Amount Of Player's Salary On The New Contract Negotiation


Mattia Zaccagni wants to receive a larger salary in advance of discussing his new contract with Lazio. The Italian midfielder has been significant to Sarri's team in the last two seasons.


The 27-year-old winger from Italy, Mattia Zaccagni hopes to receive a larger salary in his new contract. A key player in Maurizio Sarri's squad, he has become a significant factor since moving from Hellas Verona in August of 2021. It was the coach who specifically complimented the player upon his arrival in Rome the following year.


This season, the winger has registered 7 goals and given 3 assists in 16 matches in Serie A, this has led to him becoming the perfect partner for Ciro Immobile in their attack at Lazio.


As reported by the Corriere dello Sport, it is learned that Zaccagni hopes to earn 2.5 million euros per season in salary plus bonuses on his contract with Lazio. The winger receives around 1.8 million euros per season in salary, and his contract will end in 2025.


The club hopes to extend the player's contract until 2027 but they hope to add a little to his current salary. They plan to negotiate with his Italian agent before the January transfer window closes. The Italian capital club wants to keep their best players on their roster for a long time.
