Lazio Reject Newcastle's 60 Millions Bid For Milinkovic-Savic

Newcastle United is interested in signing Serbia international midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in the upcoming transfer window. Lazio then responded to the interest shown by Newcastle.

Since the club was acquired by a Saudi Arabian consortium, the club that is based at St. James Park has been extremely interested in Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. This was also confirmed directly by the player's agent, Mateja Kezman, who said that Newcastle had approached his client since last summer.

Now, in the winter transfer window, Il Messaggero reports that Newcastle has made a bid worth 60 million euros to acquire Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio. However, the same report stated that the offer was rejected by Biancoceleste because the nominal value of 60 million Euros was still too low for them.

It is alleged that Milinkovic-Savic is willing to depart the Capital Eagle squad if a club offers him in the range of 80-100 million Euros.

Additionally, the club also opposes the loss of the player during this season's ongoing campaign, they prefer to begin negotiations next summer.

Milinkovic-Savic's contract at Lazio will expire in the next 18 months. And Lazio management has so far failed to negotiate a new contract for the midfielder, who has been with the club since 2015.
