[Official] Caputo Returns To Empoli

Francesco Caputo returns to Empoli. After his experience with Sassuolo and Sampdoria, the striker decided to return to the club he played for in the 2017-2019 season. Negotiation closed on a loan with obligation to buy once salvation is reached.  Opposite path for Sam Lammers, who moves to Sampdoria on loan

 

The official announcement was made by the club: "Welcome back Ciccio".

Ciccio Caputo has scored 43 goals in 80 official games for Empoli. But he has been underwhelming for the Blucerchiati so far this season, scoring twice in 17 appearances in Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

Therefore, Caputo's name is certainly out of the list of potential replacements for Ciro Immobile, which is likely to be one of the focuses of Lazio in the January transfer market.
