Lazio Wants To Acquire Porto's Uribe For Free Next Season

Lazio recognizes that several new midfielders will be needed in the summer, and one of them they're actively pursuing is Porto's Mateus Uribe.

Lazio is believed to be in the process of acquiring several new midfielders in the upcoming transfer window. The Italian capital's most prominent club is preparing to let go of their star midfielder, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, this summer and may also make alterations to their lineup, following the failure of Toma Basic and Marcos Antonio to convince Maurizio Sarri.

The Aquile want to participate in the Champions League, which would allow them to devote more resources to the summer, and have begun to compile a list of prospective acquisitions in anticipation of the market opening.

The news reported by Radiosei stated that one of the target players is Porto's Mateus Uribe who will be available to sign a free contract in the summer.

The 32-year-old Colombian is considered tactically versatile, capable of playing in a variety of midfield positions, and earns a net salary of fewer than 2 Million Euros per season, making him a realistic choice for The Aquile.

Sarri recalls Uribe's performance when Lazio was playing against the Portuguese team in the Europa League last season and believes he may fit into his group.  Uribe has been a regular for his current team for four seasons, and this season he has made 41 appearances and produced four goals in all competitions.
