Lotito Turned Down An Offer From Saudi Arabia Club For Luis Alberto

Initially, he found himself on the sidelines, but after reconciling with the head coach, he led Lazio to qualify for the 2023/24 Champions League. Luis Alberto, also known as the "Magician" from Formello, emerged as an irreplaceable cornerstone of Sarri's Lazio. However, according to Il Messaggero, a colossal proposal from Arabia might lure him away from Rome.

According to reports, a sum of 15 million euros was proposed for Luis Alberto of Lazio, but it was allegedly turned down. President Lotito, however, has expressed his discontent with the offer, stating that he would prefer no less than 20 million euros.

The offer of a 5-year contract at a net salary of 8 million per season from Saudi Arabia would surely tempt the Spaniard. This would amount to a total of 40 million. Moreover, he would have the opportunity to lead his team in a league that is currently deemed low-level, albeit in a country with a markedly different culture.

Lotito is aware of this situation, and during his latest meeting with Sarri, he made it clear that he intends to retain Luis Alberto on the team. This is particularly essential given the potential loss of Milinkovic.

With this fantastic opportunity in hand, Luis Alberto's request is to become a key figure for Lazio, not just tactically. From an economic standpoint, he wants a new contract that makes him earn 3.5 million euros, and including bonuses he would like to reach 4 million, as did Immobile.

The President and the midfielder would have already agreed in principle, but anything may happen. We will have to wait, of course, but there are currently no confirmations.
