[Official] Jony Has Terminated His Contract With Lazio To Join Cartagena For The Upcoming Season

The Fútbol Club Cartagena SAD has announced that they have come to an agreement with Jony Rodríguez (born in Cangas de Narcea on the 7th of September, 1991), a soccer player who will be joining the club during the upcoming 2023/24 season.

Following the termination of his contract with SS Lazio, Jony Rodríguez has made his way to a new team. In the previous season, the Asturian footballer was a member of LaLiga Hypermotion's Sporting de Gijón, where he played in 17 games and scored one goal.

With a wealth of experience in Spanish football, Jony Rodríguez has proudly represented the jerseys of several teams including Málaga, Alavés, Osasuna, and Sporting de Gijón. His standout performance during the season with Mendizorroza team, where he scored five goals in 36 games, led him to the Italian Serie A, where he ultimately joined Lazio.

Jony's exceptional talent in the game is evident in his outstanding ball-striking ability with his left foot and his remarkable perception of the game's dynamics.

In a matter of days, Jony will be arriving in Cartagena to commence training with his new team, which will be led by Víctor Sánchez del Amo.
