[Champions League] Celtic - Lazio = 1 - 2

In the ongoing 2023/2024 season of the Champions League, Lazio experienced a positive outcome. During their visit to Celtic Park, they emerged victorious over Celtic FC with a score of 1-2.

Kyogo Furuhashi's goal allowed the hosts to take the lead, but it also provoked Lazio to become more assertive. Consequently, Lazio was able to tie the score with Matias Vecino's goal. The Uruguayan midfielder managed to break through the host's goal with the help of Romagnoli's pass.

During the second half of the match, Celtic managed to score a goal against Lazio in the 81st minute thanks to Luis Palma's efforts. Unfortunately, the goal was disallowed by the referee, Donatas Rumsas from Lithuania, after reviewing the VAR. The player from Honduras had been determined to have been offside before successfully penetrating Lazio's goal.

In the end, it was Lazio who managed to score a winning goal during the last moments of the second half. This feat was accomplished by Pedro, who scored the goal with a header.

After attaining a win, Lazio has secured the second position in Group E, with a total of 4 points. Their position is on par with the group leaders, Atletico Madrid, who also won their match against Feyenoord by a score of 3-2.

Lazio will go to Feyenoord's headquarters for the next Champions League match on October 25, while Celtic will host Atletico Madrid.
