Immobile: "After A Challenging Beginning, The Recent Game Was Exactly What We Required To Regain Our Composure And Motivation."

At present, the captain of Lazio, Ciro Immobile, is experiencing a tough period in his career. He was plagued by an injury at the beginning of the season, and as a result, his performance has been lackluster. This has led to criticism from both the media and certain fans of Lazio.

This even made him admit that he was not completely sure whether he had made the right decision by rejecting a big offer from a Saudi Arabian club in the last summer market. Though Taty Castellanos started the game against Fiorentina on the previous Monday evening, it was the captain who came on as a substitute and ultimately made the crucial difference. His successful execution of the match-winning penalty kick secured a victory for the Biancoceleste.

Immobile, speaking with Sky Sports Italy, stated that his priority is to consider the team's best interests before his own. He commented on the performance of the players, describing the game as an open one where victory or defeat were both possible outcomes. Immobile also noted that their confidence was a key factor in their success.

"Our team's strikers were unable to score goals during the game, despite having many opportunities. To capitalize on these chances, it is crucial to be precise, positioned correctly, and focused when attempting to score. Additionally, we managed to maintain a clean sheet throughout the game, which is also a notable accomplishment."

This victory puts The Aquile in seventh place, trailing Atalanta by merely three points for the fourth spot. One might wonder how imminent their entry into the European zone is.

"After a challenging beginning, we were left feeling crushed and disheartened. However, the recent game was exactly what we required to regain our composure and motivation. Our top priorities now are to accumulate points and maintain our newly found sense of confidence."

The 33-year-old striker has been experiencing complications in scoring goals. When questioned about his condition, he provided the following response.

"With a heart full of joy, I express my gratitude for the presence of my family by my side. I would like to dedicate this goal to my father, who has had a difficult week, as well as to my wife and children, who have been a constant source of support and happiness. They have stood by me and brought smiles to my face."
