Sarri: "Felipe Anderson As A False Nine? When He Played There, He Typically Performed Well, We'll See What He Can Accomplish With This Position."

In a challenging Sunday match held at the Stadio Olimpico, Lazio secured their fourth consecutive victory in Serie A with a 1-0 triumph over Lecce. Despite the early scheduling, Maurizio Sarri expressed his team's difficulty in this encounter but ultimately found contentment in the three points earned.

Currently, Lazio is experiencing a positive streak, securing their fourth consecutive victory in Serie A. Additionally, they recently triumphed over their local rivals, AS Roma, allowing them to advance to the semifinals of the Coppa Italia. Although the win against Lecce was not without its challenges, Felipe Anderson promptly capitalized on Luis Alberto's assistance, successfully scoring for the away team in the 58th minute.

Lazio's focus can now shift towards their upcoming preparations for the semi-final of the Italian Super Cup, where they will face Inter Milan, the winners of the Coppa Italia. This highly anticipated match is scheduled to take place on Friday evening in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

After the match, Sarri finally broke his silence and provided his first comment on his team's triumph.

"It was a difficult match due to several reasons, including the potential for mental decline, the opposition's team always presents a difficult situation for us, even if we have to play at 12.30, this is not ideal." The coach said via Sky Sports Italia.

Next, he explained the role of Felipe Anderson as a false nine that successfully led to Biancoceleste's win.

"When he played there, he typically performed well, we'll see what he can accomplish with this position, but our philosophy is to bring Ciro and Taty back to their top condition."
